Disconnect in ICQ adjustments option of display of your IP address and other identifiers.
Do not accept files from unknown to you people. Before to accept files from friends be convinced that you are speaking with that person, instead of someone other who had seized his number.

If you don’t want to lose your number:

7. Do not put identical passwords!
